Important considerations for In Form Reports filters set up in the Builder when used in addition to Group By In Form Report Filter enhancements

Note that IF filters are set in the Builder for an In Form Report, the Match ALL and Match ANY filters WILL be adhered to first before any Group By filters. Additionally, the Builder filter set to ALL will then interpret subsequent In Form Report Group By filters as an ALL filter, and the builder filters set to ANY will interpret any subsequent In Form Report Group By filters as an ANY filter.

See below for an outline of how the filters will be affected if builder filters are used with In Form Reports using In Form Report Group By filters.

This Report is set with In Form Report Match Any filters

This Form is set with In Form Report Match All filters

The filters set on the BUILDER restrict the initial selection on the In Form Reports in the system when entering in data

The filters set on the BUILDER restrict the initial selection on the In Form Reports in the system when entering in data

The Group By filters in the Form during entry work in addition to the Group By filters set on the Builder. So the ANY filter in the Builder, will have the additional ANY filter from the Form added to it

The Builder filters are adhered to first, and then the additional Group By filters in the Event form are applied as ANY filters..

For example, the Inform Report Primary filter was set to 3, so ANY records will show with:

#1: Primary equal to 1 (Builder filter)

#2: Secondary equal to B (Builder filter)

#3: Primary equal to 3 (the In Form Report Group By Filter that has been selected)

The Group By filters work in addition to the Group By filters, so the ALL filter on the Builder will then work with additional ANY filters from the Form

The Builder filters are adhered to first, and then the additional Group By filters in the Event form are applied as an AND filter (e.g. ALL parameters must be met).

For example, the Inform Report Primary filter was set to 3, so records will ONLY show IF:

#1: "Primary" equal to "1" (Builder filter) AND "Secondary" equal to "B" (Builder filter)

AND

#2: "Primary" equal to "3" (the In Form Report Group By Filter that has been selected)

In this example, no records have all three parameters so no records appear in the In Form Report table.
