WARNING ON LARGER SITES: Performance Standards set using Event Form fields as Filters WILL slow down login time on larger sites

When you login to any system, the system automatically assess which form and athletes you have access to, and in preparation for viewing the data, it loads all of the performance standards on the system for each athlete. When a performance standard is set to be applied based on an Event Field filter that searches through data entered for the athlete (e.g., a playing position tracked in a form), the system has to load up all of the history for that athlete for that form, then search through the history to see whether the athlete meets the filter criteria, and then the performance standard is applied for that athlete. Thus, IF there are a lot of athletes in the group you are loading, AND if the form the filter is set for has a lot of data in it, then this will significantly slow down loading time as the system has to do these checks for for each filter for all athletes on the system.

We STRONGLY recommend that you disable all performance standards with Event Field filters on sites with large numbers of athletes-or at a minimum remove the filter.

The system has to check through all of the data entered for the athlete before determining whether to show or not to show this performance standard. If multiple standards are set up with Event Field filters, the system has to check them all individually for each athlete! This can severely hinder loading time.

Note that the "Sex" and "Age" are determined from the athlete's account data, so the system does not have to load up Event data. These two filters do not influence loading time.
