Multiple Group Selection in Group Entry Mode
If you have access to a parent group with subgroups and you are entering in data for two or more of these subgroups, you can now select to enter in data just for these subgroups during the group entry.
On the Group Page, you will need to load/view the main group that has the subgroups in it that you want to enter data for
Make sure you choose to load this group and all subgroups as the current group
Load the group and ensure that all subgroups are selected to appear. This means the group and all subgroups can be used during the group entry process.
N.B. Any subgroup can be loaded as the current athlete group, but not all users will be in them. A parent group containing all athletes needs to be loaded.
N.B. If you have access to multiple groups or subgroups, but they are not linked via a common parent group, you CANNOT load these together. Ask your administrator to create a parent group linking them.
You can only load one group onto the system at a time. The example here shows that the user wants to load the Demo Athletes and the Parent Group, but they cannot do this. The groups need to be combined by parent group. They can choose to load either group and then select to enter in data for subgroups that exist within these groups. Additionally, they could talk to their administrator to ensure that they can access a parent group that has the correct grouping structure that they need.
By default the system will have preselected all of the athletes in the Parent Group. Click on "Add Group" and the groups appear for selection (as shown in the image in the step below)
N.B. If you have any personal group set up, these will appear before the "Add Group" button and can be used in conjunction with the Add Groups button.
Click on the Add Group button and a list of all groups will appear in alphabetical order.
When the first group is selected, the athletes that are in the selected group are ticked and all other users are un-ticked
Keep in mind that when loading a group which is also a parent of another group (within the grouping structure), all athletes in that group and the subgroup will be selected (as shown here; when the group "Group A Level 1-noathletes" is selected and even though there are no athletes in that group, there are 4 athletes which are ticked because they are in a subgroup of this group.)
Click on "Add Group" and choose an additional group. The athletes from the first group AND the athletes from the next groups are selected.
You can still un-select any players who may have missed the session or who do not need data recorded for them
Complete the Athlete selection as per your normal work flow (i.e., click Enter Event, and even save the selection as a new personal group)
N.B. The ability to select groups during group entry is supported online, installed online and installed offline.
N.B. The Sidebar, Performance Summary Reports, Front page reports will show data for the entire Parent Group which is loaded
Keep in mind that if your administrator gives you access to a large parent group with a number of athletes who you do not regularly access, consider setting up your grouping settings that do not show a lot of additional athletes who you not need to access.
