Linked Date Field
Linked Date to pull a Date field from one form to another and have the date function as if it were a normal date field that has been added to the form. Linked Profile Date to pull a Date field from profile page to event page and have the date function as if it were a normal date field that has been added to the form. Cannot edit the linked date in its destination form So works the same as a linked value and profile linked value. Date formats to match those in the importer list.
A Linked Date Field has been added in the Form Builder (in the Calculations section) to that dates can be linked between forms
This allows a date field from one Event Form to be pulled into another Event Form.
Once a Linked Date field is added into theform, select the Form and the Field that the date field will link from
Add in the specific Advanced Properties for the Linked field that you need (e.g. manual update, ignore blank etc.)
The date will link through. Note the differences in the Format depending on how they were set up
The linked fields appear in the specified format on the athlete history page as well
N.B. You can do an export to csv
Note that the version and country of origin of excel WILL influence how the date is interpreted in the csv by excel.
Note that any dates displayed with a space and not a - or / may not be interpreted as a date field in the csv output. Also, note that while dd-mm-yyyy was selected on the export settings, the linked dates will be interpreted and displayed by excel depending on the country you are in (the only way to confirm the true output from the system is to open the file in note pad before it is opened with excel).
You can also select to Link "Date on", which is the default date that is selected when entering in data (when there is no date override), which is named "Event Date"
N.B The On Date can also be linked as a Date field. After a Linked Date field is added into the form (e.g. Swim Date Linked To), then when selecting which date field to link, Event Date is available for selection. This will pull through the "On Date" which appears at the top of the event form during entry.
